Official Trailer - Fifa 17

STUDIO: Electronic Arts

Technicolor continued their involvement in this Electronic Arts’ franchise by creating more assets than ever before in the latest installment of FIFA. Technicolor artists worked on-site with EA using Frostbite, the new game engine created by EA Digital Illusions CE (DICE). FIFA 17 is the first game to use this new technology, which was deployed at Technicolor’s animation studio in Bangalore. Technicolor artists created more than 200 realistic character heads to seamlessly coexist in the game, whether developed through modeling and texturing using scanned data and images shot by EA, or by the traditional art of sculpting, modeling, and texturing using photo references. They also created more than 2000 assets, including clothing and accessories for story mode; other accessories including shoes, soccer balls, and gloves; kits for each team; and countless props. Even more, Technicolor helped define the stadium process and completed two complex stadiums.
