Meet Robert Winthrop
Robert Winthrop has been overseeing Technicolor’s Animation and Games group for over six years. He began his career at DIC Enterprises, before joining Jetlag Productions in 1991, serving as an associate producer on the T-Rex and Conan the Barbarian series and, after moving to France, supervising post-production and final delivery.
He later spent 4 ½ years at MGM Animation, producing many projects including TV series and direct-to-video features, and an All Dogs Go to Heaven theatrical feature. He also directed several episodes of Robocop and a video special of The Rainbow Fish (for Sony Wonder). He supervised animation for MGM abroad traveling to Taiwan, Korea, and Thailand.
In 1998, Winthrop joined Stretch Films and moved to New York to produce the Courage the Cowardly Dog series for Cartoon Network. Acting as CEO at the inception of Stretch Films, his responsibilities also included generating all deals and contracts, coordinating accounting procedures, and overall production system for series.
Beginning in 2000, Winthrop was producer and head of production at SD Entertainment for 10+ years, producing traditional 2D, Flash, CGI, and stereoscopic 3D projects.
