Biography

As Confucius said, “Choose a job you love, and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” I chose to pursue my passion for my profession.

As an animator, giving life to characters always thrills and motivates me. When we do a job we love the most, it gives a great sense of satisfaction and contentment. Beyond my work, I enjoy travelling and exploring new places.

How did your career begin?

After beginning my career in Chennai, where I worked on TV shows, commercials and movie visual effects, I relocated to Bangalore and began working with Technicolor in 2018. Even with practical knowledge in animation, the early stages of working on games were quite difficult. Thanks to Technicolor Games’ training program and the advice and assistance of my peers, I was able to pick up the software tools and gaming pipelines rapidly.

I have since had the opportunity to work on some of the top AAA games in the Gaming sector.

What is your most memorable moment/project working at Technicolor Games?

Even though every project is unique and memorable in its own way, if I had to narrow it down to one, it would be Warner Bros’ Gotham Knights. Working on such high-quality cinematics with the support of my leaders and Supervisor, Praveen Madhystha, I learnt a lot. The project helped hone my gaming abilities and gave me a better understanding of the necessary software tools.

What is it like working at Technicolor Games?

The culture at Technicolor Games is fantastic, it is a nice place to work. With the mentoring and training programmes, it offers fantastic possibilities for everyone to learn and develop. Technicolor Games recognizes the significance of a good work-life balance and offers its workers flexible scheduling and other advantages that foster wellbeing.

I am proud to work at Technicolor Games, where the employees feel valued, supported and motivated to do their best work.

What are you excited about for the future?

I’m thrilled about the next projects and the expansion of the business; there will be more opportunity for learning and growth as well as new challenges to face. I’m also eager to be a part of a successful culture that is supportive and collaborative.

What advice could you give to someone wanting to join the industry?

The animation industry is highly competitive. Being passionate and committed to your work is essential in this very competitive profession. Working in the animation business may be gratifying and interesting but it also demands commitment, diligence, and a desire to always learn and advance.

Final words from Thiyagarajan’s Manager:

He is a self-motivator who helps other artists who are struggling with their daily process. He is dedicated to his work and modest towards his co-workers. He is aware of his responsibilities and acts accordingly.
